Peptic ulcer is open erosion in the gastrointestinal tract which is painful. Peptic ulcer develops when hydrochloric acid in the pepsin and digestive fluids in the stomach damage the gastrointestinal tract. An ulcer in the stomach is known as gastric ulcer and an ulcer in the duodenum is known as duodenal ulcer. Gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer together are called peptic ulcers. 


Causes of Peptic Ulcer
  1. Helicobacter pylori, bacterial infection
  2. NSAIDs such as ibuprofen and aspirin.
  3. Abnormalities in the immune system
  4. Smoking and alcoholism
 
Home Remedies for Stomach Ulcer

Fenugreek Leaves



Boil one cup of fenugreek leaves by adding a pinch of salt and consume this twice a day.

Cabbage Juice



Drink raw cabbage juice before going to bed daily.  This will help healing the ulcer and strengthen the stomach lining.

Banana



Eat one banana every day after breakfast

Raw Honey



Take a tbsp of raw honey daily before breakfast to help reduce stomach inflammation and keep stomach diseases away

Garlic



Eat 2 to 3 cloves of garlic every day during your meal to get rid of the inflammation in your stomach.
